A1 Garage Door Service, the industry leader in garage door installation and repair,
seeks a Dispatcher to join our growing organization.

The Dispatcher is responsible for scheduling and coordinating our technicians, communicating directly with customers, and processing payments and conducting follow-ups. Prior Home Service Industry dispatching experience is strongly preferred. The right candidate will thrive working in a fast paced environment, have an astute attention to detail, and possesses the interpersonal skills to thrive in this sales/customer service focused position. To the right Dispatcher, we offer:

  • $15 - $17 per hour commensurate with experience

  • Full-time four-day work week! Saturday-Sunday 6am-4:30pm and Monday-Tuesday 8am-6:30PM

Duties and Responsibilities for the Dispatcher:

  • Schedule and coordinate all calls received ensuring best technicians get best opportunities while at the same time minimizing drive time and attempting to best fulfill customer promises
  • Manage daily schedule of technicians, including technician obligations and company appointments
  • Verify part usage on tickets and validate payment method on tickets to assist accounting
  • Communicate Tech Arrival times with customers, debrief after, assist with special order parts
  • Process EasyPay/Greensky financing with customer, assist with all special job types being an expert
  • Follow up on Customer Membership, and other tasks as assigned

Requirements for the Dispatcher:

  • Advanced customer service skills          
  • Ability to multi-task and handle a fast paced environment
  • May require evenings and weekends
  • High attention to detail                                               
  • Good organizational skills
  • Spanish is beneficial but not required
  • Computer skills. Previous experience with service software is advantageous                                            
  • Geographical knowledge and map reading ability
  • Strong problem solver  
  • Submit to and successfully pass pre-employment drug screen and background check
